EPL: Cardiff vs Arsenal: Team News, Injuries, Possible Lineups


Arsenal recorded its first win against West Ham last weekend and will be looking to continue in the same vein when the Gunners travel to Cardiff on Sunday.

Emery’s side displayed an outstanding performance during the clash against the Hammers, with Alexandre Lacazette impressing during a second-half cameo appearance.

The Gunners last played Cardiff in the 2013-14 premier league season and are unbeaten against the Welsh side since 1961.

Emery will be without Left-back, Sead Kolasinac, who is out for eight to ten weeks with a knee injury, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles has suffered a fracture in his left leg and will be out for six to eight weeks.

The clubs Long-term absentee Laurent Koscielny is aiming to return to training in November, as will left-back, Carl Jenkinson who has a significant sprain to his right ankle.

Meanwhile Cardiff Manager, Neil Warnock is waiting on the fitness of his star winger Junior Hoilett ahead of Sunday’s match after the 28-year-old picked up a groin problem during the clash with Huddersfield

Also Nathaniel Mendez-Laing is out for three months with a knee injury while Aaron Gunnarsson is also making progress on a knee injury and could be back after the international break.

Arsenal possible starting XI: Cech, Bellerin, Mustafi, Papastathopoulos, Monreal, Guendouzi, Xhaka, Mkhitaryan, Ramsey, Ozil, Aubameyang.

Cardiff City possible starting XI: Etheridge, Manga, Morrison, Bamba, Bennett, Murphy, Camarasa, Ralls, Arter, Hoilett, Zohore.

The kick-off time for the match is 2pm.
