PHOTOS: Woman Reunites with a Chinese man Who rescued her during World War II

On Wednesday a lady in her 80s named Mary Taylor Previte, reunited with a Chinese man who rescued her amid the Second World War II. She traveled thousands of miles from New Jersey, US, to Guiyang in southwest China’s Guizhou Province.

For decades Mary never surrendered any expectation of finding Eddie Wang, a member of a rescue team that saved her from a Japanese death camp in Weifang, east China’s Shandong Province, where she and her siblings had been detained since the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.

Giving her 91-year-old comrade a warm embrace, Mary expressed her genuine appreciation and said again and again that Eddie Wang is her hero.

Eddie Wang was also delighted about the reunion, saying that it must have been destiny that united the pair together once again.
