Adeboye - "Seeking Vengeance, Praying For Death Of Killers Is Anti-Christ", As He Speaks On Eunice Elisha Murder

The General-Overseer, of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, speaking for the first time on the horrible murder of a member of his church, Deaconess Olawale Elisha, while evangelizing in Kubwa, FCT has divulged that he will not seek vengeance against the killers.

Daddy GO, as he is fondly called, stated this today, Friday during a Ministers’ Conference at the Redemption Camp, Kilometer 46, Lagos – Ibadan Expressway.

The 42-years old woman, a mother of seven, who was assistant female pastor at the church’s Divine Touch parish, was slain by unknown assailants on June 9 at Gbazango-West area of Kubwa, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, during morning evangelism.

Elisha, whose birthday was just a couple of weeks away, was stabbed in the stomach and she also had a cut in her neck.

The RCCG preacher was found dead in a pool of her own blood with a copy of the Bible, a megaphone and a mobile phone.

She was found dead by residents who alerted policemen who came to evacuate her remains to the police station where her husband went to identify the body.

The General-Overseer said, being that Elisha was on the divine mission to win souls for Jesus Christ, it would be unscriptural and anti-Christ to pray for the death or even seek to kill the same souls She sought to save.

He said,
“I’m not looking for vengeance. I won’t listen to people asking me to seek vengeance.
“I won’t pursue the case. That will be contrary to what she wanted.
“She wanted them saved, not killed.
“What will their killing do for me?”
